Great price and functionality for a waterproof housing.

Great piece for the price for sure, you can spend a ton on waterproof video housings….Used in mexico snorkeling… I couldn’t see how the top switch was going to turn my camera on and off since there is simply no visible connection to the switch, but somehow it works. I kept taking the camera out of the housing and switching it on then putting it back in the housing when I first started using it, but then I realized the switch actually does work fine… Note: The unit does Float so if you drop it you won’t lose, also there is a tripod screw on the bottom of the unit so you could even set up an underwater shallow still set with a gorilla tripod base and a few weights to hold it down… cool! This whole system is pretty well thought out, simple and straightforward, I ordered the car mount as well. The only thing I might add to this unit would be a small lens cap, since you end up just leaving the camera in this unit when you are snorkeling and traveling, and it doesn’t fit in the original case, it would be an added measure so you don’t scratch the housing front. I used a small ditty bag for this and the rest of the accesories for this unit (extra batter, case, USB cord, goggle mount ect.. – Andrew – Google Exploretheoutdoorsworldwide for Patagonia and North Face gear at 30-60% off retail.

Not compatible with Contour GPS

This fits my Contour HD snugly and is a well designed product. If you have a Contour GPS, this will not fit your camera. The record switch has changed and is not the same design as the Contour HD or Contour 1080. If you have a previous model this case works as designed; everything is well thought out, the fit is extremely snug and the buttons are easy to press.

Truly a Must Have for All Vholdr Contour Camera Owners!

I had a lot of fun shooting videos with this accessory both in or out of the water.
First of all, I got my case with an extra silicon O-ring inside the box. So I guess
the people at Vholdr actually listen to the reviews/feedback they get online.
Take extra care of the surface within the orange ring by the lens end.
You dont want to scratch that area. I actually store this thing (case door unlocked)
inside a sock when I’m not using it :p
