An outdoor planter box is a quick and simple way to embellish your house. It’s a project that you may without apparent effort finish in a few hours. It only takes a few simple hand tools and a great deal of wood.

Supplies You Need:

Wood boards

Nails

Topsoil

Shovel

Hammer

Level

Carpenter’s square

Saw

The original thing to do is find the perfective spot for your outdoor planter box. Cut two planks for the length of the planter box and another 2 planks for the sides. Write down the measurements of the cuts as you will need to make more of these for taller planter boxes and must make them the same size.

The next step is to lay one of the straight boards out to use as the back of the outdoor planter box.

Nail the two shorter pieces to either end of the long board. You must now have what looks like the shape of a letter ‘C’.

Use the Carpenter’s square to ascertain you have a 90-degree angle at both joints.

Next nail the front long piece to the 2 shorter sidepieces; once again checking to be sure the whole thing is square.

Place the torpedo level all over each piece of wood to make sure the whole outdoor planter box is level.

Now it’s time to build up to the height you want the planter boxes to be. The rest of the occupation is just repeating the same design on top of the primary row.

Simply cut more boards to the same lengths as the introductory 4.

Nail the identical cuts on top of the primary row until it gets to your desired height. You may want to take a few boards and attach them to the inside to hold the two levels together more securely. You may build the planters as high as you want, but 2 feet high will have to be just in regards to right for anything you want to grow.

Once you’ve finished crafting all the pieces. All you have to do is dump a lot of topsoil into the outdoor planter box and plant your favored flowers, plants or herbs.

Perfect for beach trip

Just what we were looking for. Two iphones, wallet, keys. That’s about all you can expect to place inside. No water got inside.
Just a tip. Open it before you put it in your luggage. We had to pry it open at our destination due to the negative pressure.

Not sun-proof

I used this as a geocaching container, placing it outside in full sun. By 7 months, the watertight seal material had disintegrated and everything inside was wet. The strap on the outside was also cracked almost all the way through. I think it would have been fine if left in the shade.
