Good outdoors shirt

Buying something with no reviews is always a gamble, but I took it and it paid off.

This shirt is made out of material that will dry very fast if it gets wet. These are the best kind of clothes to wear when doing outdoor activities like hiking or camping. These are also great for traveling because you can hand wash it and then just let it air dry.

There are two velcro pockets on the front. The sleeves can roll up and be secured with a button flap. The backside has a large mesh vent with two openings near the shoulder areas.

Sizing is accurate for my usual size and the stitching and material look to be good quality. The shirt is comfortable and looks good. Thumbs up.

A good fit for me, maybe not you

I just bought this shirt in a different color from an REI store. Now I’m here to buy another in a color they didn’t have. I’m a skinny guy, 5’11+, and I usually have to settle for a shirt that fits like a tent with too-short sleeves. The Medium Silver Ridge fits me almost like a tailored shirt, yet accommodates my modest middle-age paunch (33″ waist) with a bit of room to grow. You “big dogs” might want to look elsewhere. The 34″ sleeve length is as good as I can expect to get, though I’d like another inch. You’d think the “tent-shirts” would at least give good freedom of movement, but in fact, when I raise my arms, they typically pull out of my pants. This shirt doesn’t; the vents in back may have something to do with that. If you hate Velcro as I do, there is only a tiny patch of it under each pocket flap.

Gripes are minor: Velcro pocket closures and the unsightly and unnecessary grab loops on the pocket flaps. I may try to cut them off.

Very nice shirt, i like it, the texture and color.

I like the color and texture of the shirt, I am a size M, but the size L in this model is right for me.
